Main Suspect of UNPAD Case is Captured

The ranks of the Bandung Police Crime Department succeeded in arresting the perpetrators of the stabbing of Padjajaran University (UNPAD) students in Gading Tutuka 2, Cangkuang District, Bandung Regency. The perpetrator is known to have the initials FA (24).

Bandung Police Chief Kombes Kusworo Wibowo said the perpetrator with the initials FA was detained by the police at his residence, Los Dago Village, Coblong Village, Dago District, Bandung City, at 14.30 WIB. The perpetrator did not move when he was arrested by the police.

"We carried out a series of investigations, which obtained information from witnesses, then from various other evidence. So that at 14.30 on Friday, we were able to catch the suspect at the house of the suspect's parents," said Kusworo, at the Bandung Police Department, Saturday (2022/11/12).

He explained that during the arrest, the perpetrator had tried to eliminate the evidence. However, this can be known by the police.

"But we managed to secure the evidence, in the form of a motorcycle, sharp weapons purchased through Tokopedia, and an online driver jacket that he bought at e-commerce," he said.

Kusworo emphasized that the perpetrators are currently being charged with multiple clauses. Among them are Article 340 of premeditated murder, a subsidiary of Article 338 of murder, and Article 351 paragraph 3 of persecution which results in the disappearance of a person.

"For his actions, he is sentenced to a maximum death sentence or life sentence," he concluded.

UNPAD student killer motive revealed. The perpetrator with the initials FA admitted to stabbing the victim because he was annoyed because the victim with the initials CAM (23) threatened to share photos of his disgrace.

"The victim tried to spread the suspect's photos, so the suspect felt angry and disappointed. Then he planned the murder by buying an online motorbike taxi jacket and sharp weapons," said Bandung Police Chief Kombes Kusworo Wibowo, Saturday (12/11).

The suspect admitted that he was an old friend of the victim who knew him in the anime community.
